In 2020 amidst the search for a return to a sense of normalcy that we were all seeking, Cuethephotographer services was born. I've always enjoyed photography so to pass the extra time I found with schools being closed I turned to my camera. An avid birder, I began primarily as a hobbyist adding bird photography to my outings. I also enjoy photographing my two children's sports competitions and with both competing in high school sports I soon had my hands full. 

 

My hobby soon branched out to include photographing for youth and high school sports teams including the athletes I coach in track & field. I'm also a masters 400m hurdler and decathlete and many of my fellow competitors soon sought me out to take photos for them.

Before I knew what happened I had fell in love with capturing those unique moments that occur during sporting competitions. Its a lot of work, but I love the challenge of attempting to stop the action at the perfect moment.

I've learned that most parents want photos of their children that are better than what a cell phone shot may provide. However, they may not desire to invest in an expensive dslr or mirrorless camera system with lenses. It also takes some time to learn how to manipulate the exposure triangle to take great photos. I've also found that student athletes love seeing themselves in action as a reward for some of their sacrifices.

Cuethephotographer was born out of my absolute joy in sharing my gift with parents and athletes alike. Whether I've come to know you through coaching or watching my own children compete alongside yours taking photographs for you is always my pleasure.
